The first game was a good baseball game between 2 very good pitchers.  We didn’t have a lot of base runners in that game, but we did a good job of scoring the runner from third when we got them there.  We know Sam is going to give us a chance every time he pitches.  We have to continue to do the little things like moving the runner and scoring him from third with less than 2 outs.  Sam also sat on a pitch and hit a huge home run for us in the 6th to break the tie.  I liked how we added another run after that home run to give us an insurance run because they had 2 men on in the 7th.
In the second game Dylan Smith gave us a chance to win and Will Sparrow did a great job of keeping it close.  I really liked our approach in the second game.  We had different guys step up and get a big hit for us.  Jakob Coker’s base hit to break the tie in the 6th was huge.  We need clutch hits from everyone in our lineup if we want to compete in this league.
Record: 5-3, 2-0 SEC
