On February 9, Adrian Maples hosted their annual Competitive Cheer Invitational. Tecumseh was excited to attend, along with Airport, Blissfield, Ida, Madison, and Saline. In what seems to be a recurring theme, all teams scored within 30 points of each other in Round 1. Ida led with 217.3; Tecumseh scored 190.5. Although they had hoped for higher, Indians did post their highest round 2 score this season, but the subtotals at the end of 2 rounds left Tecumseh trailing a distant 63 points behind leader Saline. Four teams (Adrian, Ida, Saline, and Tecumseh) were assessed 8 point penalties in round 3, but the penalty was not enough to hold Saline back. They proudly took home first place with a final score of 680.68.
District Championships for Competitive Cheer will be Saturday, February 16th, at 10:00 at Gibraltar Carlson High School.
